Privacy Policy
1. INTRODUCTION
This Privacy Policy explains how Kickff, Inc. ("Kickff", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Kickff mobile application (the "App").
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please stop using the App and delete your account.
2. WHAT THIS APP IS
Kickff is an information and analytics product. We publish statistics, projections, ratings and opinion-based predictions about sporting events, assembled by our staff from historical and public data.
We are not a bookmaker, sportsbook, betting exchange, casino, or money-transmission service. We do not accept, place, broker, or settle wagers of any kind. We do not operate real-money or simulated gambling, we do not run contests or fantasy competitions, and we hold no customer funds.
We do not promote, endorse, advertise, or receive commission from any sportsbook, bookmaker, betting site, or gambling operator, and the App contains no links or referrals to any of them.
Everything we publish is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is one input among many that you may choose to consider. It is not betting advice, financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to take any action.
3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account information. When you sign up we receive your email address, and — if you sign in with Apple or Google — the account identifier and basic profile details that provider shares with us. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever see Apple's private relay address.
Profile information you choose to provide. Your display name, an avatar image if you upload one, and your selected profile banner. Uploading an avatar reads the single photo you pick from your photo library; we do not browse, scan, or index your library.
Subscription information. Which plan you bought, its billing period, the sports attached to it, its status and renewal or expiry date, and the store's subscription identifier for your purchase. We use this identifier to keep your subscription tied to the account that bought it.
We never receive or store your card number, bank details, or billing address. All payments are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms; we only receive the result of a transaction.
Usage and device information. Basic device and app details (such as device model, operating system version, app version, and language), and in-app events such as opening the app, viewing a pick, or opening the paywall. These are used in aggregate to understand how the App is used and where it can be improved.
Notification token. If you allow notifications, we store the push token issued to your device so we can alert you when new picks are published.
What we do NOT collect. We do not collect precise or background location, contacts, calendar, photos other than an avatar you deliberately select, health data, biometric data, or any payment card data.
4. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use the information above to:
- (a) create and maintain your account and keep you signed in
- (b) determine what your subscription entitles you to see, including which sports
- (c) deliver the picks, statistics and projections that make up the App
- (d) send notifications you have opted in to receive
- (e) provide customer support and respond to your requests
- (f) detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms; and
- (g) understand aggregate usage so we can improve the App.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
5. SERVICE PROVIDERS WE SHARE WITH
We rely on a small number of processors, each acting on our instructions:
- (a) Supabase — account, profile and content storage, and authentication
- (b) Superwall — paywall presentation and subscription state
- (c) Apple and Google — payment processing, subscription management, and delivery of the App
- (d) Mixpanel — aggregate product analytics
- (e) Expo — delivery of push notifications to your device.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
6. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA, AND WHAT OUR DATA IS NOT
The statistics, projections and predictions in the App are produced by our staff from historical and public sporting data. They describe patterns in data. They are not guarantees, and they are not advice.
WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY OUTCOME, RESULT, OR WIN.
Sport is inherently uncertain. Our projections are estimates derived from statistics, and statistics describe what has tended to happen — never what will happen. A pick, rating, projection or probability shown in the App may be wrong, and any of them may be wrong repeatedly. Past accuracy is not a promise of future accuracy.
Every decision you make after reading our content is your own decision, made at your own risk and on your own judgement. You are solely responsible for your own conduct and for complying with the laws that apply where you live.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY FOR ANY LOSS YOU SUFFER — financial or otherwise — arising out of or connected with your use of the App or reliance on anything we publish. This includes, without limitation, money lost through any activity you undertake after reading our data, lost profits, lost opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss.
If you choose to use our information in connection with any activity that involves risking money, you do so entirely at your own risk, and you accept that we are not responsible for the result.
7. DATA RETENTION
We keep account and profile data for as long as your account exists. Analytics events are retained in aggregate.
Records of a store subscription are retained even if an account is later deleted. This is necessary so a subscription cannot be silently transferred between accounts, and so a person who returns can recover access to a purchase they already made.
8. DATA SECURITY
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport and access controls on our databases.
No system is perfectly secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
You can edit your display name and avatar at any time in Account. You can delete your account, and the personal data attached to it, from Account → Delete account. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
To exercise any other right, contact us using the details in section 13.
10. CHILDREN
The App is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in a manner consistent with this policy and applicable law.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be brought to your attention in the App. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
